Schedule Details/Additional Information:
Monday through Friday 530am-2pm with some call obligations

  • Provides assistance in the preparation, delivery, and completion of anesthesia to surgical patients. Maintains anesthesia cart readiness, troubleshoots equipment failures, and anticipates the needs of the anesthesia provider in both routine and crisis situations.
  • Responsible for proper cleaning of instruments and equipment used in anesthesia, to ensure availability of supplies and equipment.
  • Responsible for preoperative preparation. This includes preparing machines and equipment used for the delivery of anesthetic; preparing the anesthesia cart with equipment, materials, and medications as requested by the anesthesia provider.
  • May be asked to provide assistance during difficult intubations and/or patient crisis scenarios by acting as an equipment facilitator or as needed by the anesthesia provider.
  • Assists with clean up after the procedure and in preparation of the next procedure.
  • Troubleshoots minor equipment failures and makes minor adjustments. Refers major problems to Anesthesia supervisor.

Scheduled Hours

Full-time on 1st shift

Monday -Friday (530am-2pm) with some call obligations

Licenses & Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.

Degrees

High School Graduate.

Must be able to function effectively in a fast paced, sometimes stressful environment. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.Basic computer proficiency.
