Where You Will Work:

Patient Population: Adult patients in the outpatient and inpatient setting. The team supports a wide range of Endoscopic procedures including preventative screening and diagnostic colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCP, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), and bronchoscopies.

Schedule:
Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week
On-call is required; must reside within 30 minutes of Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center
On-Call Requirements:
Approximately 2–3 call shifts per month
Weekend Rotation:
Every 4th weekend, RNs work one day shift
Every 4th month, RNs work both weekend day shifts
Holiday Rotation:
One holiday per year
Plus either Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve
We’re Looking For:
-
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
-
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
-
1-2 Years of Med/Surg, ICU, ED or 1 year perioperative nursing experience.
What You’ll Do:

Deliver individualized care using the nursing process—assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.

Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, mobilizing resources and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Promote patient safety by implementing risk-reduction strategies and reporting safety events promptly.
-
Educate patients and families, adapting teaching methods to meet unique learning needs and supporting readiness for discharge.
-
Coordinate care and discharge planning through an interdisciplinary approach, ensuring continuity across the healthcare continuum.

Lead and delegate effectively, fostering teamwork and supporting unlicensed personnel.

Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and unit performance.
