Major Responsibilities  

  • Own defined components of the enterprise People & Culture communication strategy, translating People & Culture priorities, business objectives and cultural commitments into teammate-centered communications.  
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive HR and enterprise leaders, providing counsel on messaging for teammate initiatives, organizational change, pay and benefits, talent programs, and operating model evolution.  
  • Translate complex HR strategies, policies and changes into clear, concise and empathetic messages for diverse teammate audiences.  
  • Establish communication frameworks, playbooks and guidance to enable consistent People & Culture messaging across the enterprise.  
  • Anticipate communication risks, teammate concerns and change impacts; recommend messaging and sequencing to support clarity, trust and readiness.  
  • Lead development and execution of high-impact HR communication plans, including multi-channel campaigns, leadership activation and teammate-facing content.  
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Brand, and Corporate/External Communications to ensure alignment, message consistency, and integrated storytelling across the enterprise. 
  • Drive enterprise storytelling that connects People & Culture strategies to the lived teammate experience.  
  • Lead communication strategies for large-scale People & Culture transformation efforts, integrations, acquisitions and workforce initiatives. 
  • Define success measures for People & Culture communications, using data, feedback and insights to inform decisions and demonstrate enterprise impact. 
  • Promote a culture of strategic partnership, continuous improvement and high performance. 
  • Build, develop and lead a high-performing communications team (1–2 direct reports) by setting clear direction, coaching talent and driving accountability for outcomes.

Minimum Job Requirements 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.

Certification / Registration / License 

  • N/A

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in strategic communications, with a strong focus on internal and HR communications, change management, or employee engagement.  
  • Demonstrated experience advising senior executives and partnering with cross-functional leaders (HR, Legal, Operations, Marketing).  

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities 

  • Enterprise mindset with ability to operate across complex, matrixed systems.  
  • Strong judgment in navigating enterprise risk, sensitivity and ambiguity. 
  • Exceptional written, verbal and executive communication skills. 
  • Strong consultative and advisory presence with senior leaders. 
  • Deep expertise in change communication and transformation storytelling. 
  • Ability to simplify complexity and communicate with empathy and clarity. 
  • Comfort operating between strategy and execution. 
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management capabilities. 
  • High level of judgment, discretion, and attention to detail.  

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions 

    • Position may require travel and will be exposed to weather and road conditions
    • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
    • Exposed to a normal office environment.

    Preferred Job Requirements 

    Preferred Experience

    • Experience supporting complex, large-scale organizations; healthcare or frontline workforce environments preferred.  
    • People leadership experience a plus.
