Major Responsibilities:

  • What You’ll Do:

    As a Registered Nurse in the ICU, you will use the nursing process to assess patient needs, plan and implement individualized interventions, and evaluate outcomes to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will actively involve patients and families in care planning while building and maintaining therapeutic relationships throughout the healthcare continuum.

    You will anticipate and recognize changes in patient condition, respond quickly, and adjust care plans as needed—collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate timely, effective care for critically ill patients.

    You will implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety, reduce risk, and improve outcomes. This includes assessing patient and family readiness to learn and tailoring education to meet individualized needs.

    You will coordinate discharge planning using an interdisciplinary approach and consistently apply nursing and regulatory standards in daily practice.

    You will monitor patient, team, and unit outcomes—taking action to improve care delivery and participating in shared governance and quality improvement initiatives.

    You will demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills, while taking a leadership role in the care team and delegating appropriately.

    You will promote a culture of safety by identifying risks, preventing patient harm, and reporting safety events appropriately, while contributing to corrective actions and process improvements.

    You will apply ethical decision-making, foster respect across disciplines, and contribute to an inclusive, patient-centered care environment.

    You will also support ongoing professional development by participating in education, mentorship, and required competencies.

    Schedule Details / Additional Information:

    • Licensure & Certification: RN license in applicable state; BLS (AHA) required
    • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
    • Experience: Typically 1+ year of clinical nursing experience preferred

    Physical Requirements:
    Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, lifting, and patient handling, including assisting with transfers. Exposure to clinical environments requiring use of appropriate protective equipment.
