  • Monday-Friday days with variable start times; hours vary based on volumes. Must be flexible.

Where You Will Work:

Aurora Medical Center-Washington County -Day Surgery department offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment for healthcare professionals who value variety and patient-centered care. Staff get to work with a broad spectrum of surgical patients, including those undergoing orthopedic, gastrointestinal, general, ENT, urology, spine, podiatry, gynecological, ophthalmology, and pain procedures. The team is known for being engaged, motivated, collaborative, and focused on delivering excellent care. Nurses and CNAs in this department maintain advanced certifications, ensuring a high standard of practice. We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or within 6 months of hire 

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or within 6 months of hire.

  • The ideal candidate will have previous surgical services experience or a minimum of 2 years of bedside inpatient nursing. Previous background with medical conditions along with medications would be highly beneficial.

What You’ll Do:

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
