Schedule Details/Additional Information:
Monday through Friday. 8:30am to 5:00pm

Major Responsibilities:
Test Adminstration and Scoring
1)Administers routine psychological and neuropsychological tests according to test standards and departmental guidelines.
2)Performs technical interpretations (scoring) of routine level procedures by both manual and computer analysis.
3)Test administration and scoring is appropriate for age and cognitive status of each patient as discussed with the supervising psychologist.
4)Instructs patients in the use of self-report testing, reviews patient’s self-report data and scores the test(s).
5)Seeks out assistance from Neuropsychologists for individual supervision as needed

Documentation
1)Provides complete documentation for each procedure performed and maintains necessary records. Reports behavioral observations. Reviews patient’s existing records to aid in the assessment of the test data. Interprets test data under direct supervision of Neuropsychologist.

Scheduling Procedures
1)Upon receipt of referral, schedules services for outpatients.
2)Communticate effectively with physicans and patients. Demonstrates a tolerance for new ideas and suspends intial judgements, gives and accepts constructive feedback.
3)Assists with pre-certification procedures for insurance requirements

Skill Development
1)Attain knowledge and skills necessary to perform intermediate and advanced level procedures and preliminary interpretations of these procedures by both manual and computer analysis.

Other Activities
1)Orders and maintains testing supplies.
2) Adheres to departmental policies and procedures.
3)Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Required:
– Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field in psychological and neuropsychological testing

– Preferred experience and exposure to psychological assessment with diverse pediatric patient populations and diagnostic groups

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
-Preferred knowledge of routine Pediatric neuropsychological tests (WAIS-IV, WISC-V) -good patient rapport skills -basic computer literacy -good communication skills -good organizational skills -has basic exposure to psychological terminology -behavioral observations convey patient behaviors

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment with established time constraints -interact with both medical and psychological patients -flexible with work schedule and hours
-If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact, the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 6/1/15. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
