Schedule Details/Additional Information:
Monday- Sunday 3:30pm-12:00am days may vary
- Oversees the operations of the Alumni House and Light House, which includes assisting the manager with budget planning for the facilities.
- Provides outreach and engagement that offers an introduction to recovery, and some hope, to people thinking about not yet in recovery.
- Maintains current knowledge and information on community resources. Assists in managing the process of obtaining services from multiple systems (such as primary and mental health care, child welfare, and criminal justice). Facilitate communication with health care providers and arrange transportation to and from medical services.
- Identifies patient needs and seeks to meet their necessities and to resolve issues within scope of job. Asks supervisor or Mental Health Professional for assistance with issues beyond the scope of job.
- Coordinates and maintains a safe and sober housing environment. Provides routine inspections to ensure tenant compliance to lease expectations. Communicates and consistently enforce House rules and expectations.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- None Required.
Education Required:
- High School Graduate.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 3 years of experience in working with people with Substance Abuse Disorders and interaction with community support programs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Familiar with the understanding of Addictions and Recovery principles required. Knowledge of substance abuse treatment, support groups and the recovery model.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people with Substance Abuse Disorders.
- Knowledgeable of community resources.
- Must be able to function independently, delegate appropriately and be well organized. Demonstrates organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to establish and maintain an atmosphere of respect and dignity with the agency and foster good working relationships between and among staff, volunteers and participants.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Basic skills using the Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word) or similar products.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Will frequently be required to lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance, and will occasionally be required to lift over 25 lbs. with assistance.
- May be exposed to the following hazard: mechanical, electrical, chemical, blood and body fluids.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, squat, bend, reach above shoulders and twist.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
