Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor for South Shore Emergency Room

The amazing team at Southshore’s Community Hospital is an experienced group of caregivers who treat patients with various emergent and critical care needs. This Level IV trauma unit (17 monitor bed) welcomes experienced and strong communicators who are skilled and engaged to provide a compassionate level of patient centered care with collaboration and a commitment to delivery high quality, exceptional care. This high volume, fast-paced unit is needing dynamic teammates like you!

We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN). or enrolled in a ADN to BSN program

  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience – with prior leadership experience

  • Advanced clinical and technical knowledge of ED and other critical care services

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and demands in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Direct daily operations, staffing, and patient flow to ensure efficient procedural care.
  • Promote high-quality patient care and advocate for patients and team members.
  • Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, patients, and families to support communication and problem-solving.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships across departments and with external vendors.
  • Monitor quality, regulatory compliance, and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Partner with leadership on process improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a clinical resource for staff, patients, and families.
  • Support staff onboarding, education, training, and professional development.
  • Provide input on equipment, supplies, budgeting, and department needs.
  • Support Shared Governance, nursing standards, and peer review activities.
  • Perform leadership and HR functions, including coaching, performance reviews, hiring recommendations, and employee engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and organizational standards.
  • Provide age-appropriate, patient-centered care across the lifespan.
