To provide efficient customer service support, resources, information, and a variety of other tasks in to assure the visitors, patients, staff and physicians needs are met.

We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer service, preferably in the medical field
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Excel and strong computer skills
- Bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred
What You’ll Do:
Schedule: Based on a 40-hour work week, 5 days/week, 5:30am-2:00pm (flexibility to work weekends and holidays)
As a Surgical Services Patient Escort, you’ll play a vital role in our guest services team – supporting and escorting patients and visitors through the surgical department, obtain necessary authorizations/clearance, notifies various departments of work environment needs in a timely manner and provide superior customer service by greeting and welcoming everyone encountered.
As a key member of the guest services team, you will:
- Support, utilize and work directly with volunteers to assign wayfinding assignments to patients and support other guest/visitor needs.
- Retrieve emails sent to the department inbox and perform the appropriate action (schedule meeting, forward information, actions, etc)
- Assure visitor's compliance with children visitation policies including completion of the "Health Screening form for Pediatric Visitors" in the Mother/Baby Unit.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability to read, enter and retrieve information from the computer terminal.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks such as hearing the client, verbalizing instructions and possessing manual dexterity for data entry.
- Ability to function in a high volume, multiple-task environment, and in a crowded or closely shared workspace.
- Exposure to ill patients.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions with demanding customers.
- Must lift to 35 pounds without help. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
