Major Responsibilities:
- Planning, management, implementation, and evaluation of operations/services to ensure high quality of care, efficiency, and cost effectiveness for the Area’s Hospital Based Programs. Align the Hospital Based Programs with the system service line strategy.
- Provides input for capital requirements, prepares operating budgets, oversees ordering and maintains appropriate inventory of medical supplies and equipment, manages all support or clinical services contracts or vendor services, ensures workforce maximum productivity, and prepares reports as appropriate to update leadership on key operational objectives
- Coordinates patient care as a liaison with ED, inpatient units, patient access, medical staff, nursing and ancillary services for patients receiving Neuroscience services. Provides leadership in the design and development and/or implementation of quality initiatives and regulatory body requirements.
- Develops and enforces appropriate policies related to overall operations and develops new policies as operations change, creates accountability infrastructure and monitors operations for compliance.
- Manages the handling of business office functions, computer access, billing, and scheduling system access, to assure team members have appropriate training, supervision, and transactions are recorded in a timely fashion and meet operational guidelines.
- Provides direction and effective leadership for Neuroscience clinical outcomes by monitoring appropriate indicators, leading performance improvement initiatives, developing and implementing department standard operating procedures, develops and directs department to ensures all neuroscience operations follow all regulatory agency and accrediting Organization standards.
- Assures a customer-focused environment is maintained for all internal and external customers with timely responses to any customer complaints or concerns, developing internal routine communications and feedback regarding clinic operations both for associates and clinicians, ensuring that associates display courteous and professional behaviors that meet customer focused criteria and Behaviors of Excellence, Implements patient satisfaction tools, responds to any patient experience initiatives and develop corrective actions to improve satisfaction scores.
- Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
- Establish relationships with referring clinicians, hospital departments, medical group sites and Business Development leaders to create relationships and grow services
- Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations, and laws applicable to the organization's business.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Education/Experience Required:
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Typically required 5 years of previous supervisory or management experience and related physician practice experience.
