Hours may vary depending on simulation needs. Basic schedule is M-F 0800-1630 with stretch requests as early as 0600 am and as late as 1800. Advocate Illinois Masonic is the home site for this role though travel may be required to other sites in Illinois and Wisconsin to support system simulation programming.

Purpose: The purpose of the position is to support the development and implementation of simulation based education at the Advocate sites. They will partner with faculty in all aspects of curriculum design from needs assessment to program evaluation. Reporting to the Director of System Simulation the position will provide leadership in establishing and achieving simulation~based education that aligns with strategic organizational outcomes. They will be involved in creating implementing and evaluating simulation lab and in situ based simulations for a multidisciplinary learner audience. Accountabilities: Acts as member of Learning Institutes teams to develop comprehensive system wide learning strategies ensuring simulation is represented in our direction and priorities. Facilitates simulation based curriculum that promote safety quality and serviceProvides site leadership in simulation based learning. Maintain proficiency in existing and emerging quality safety and simulation technologies including basic theory design and implementation. Internal and external stakeholder management.

Position Requirements:

  • Professional experience with education either in a medical nursing or allied health profession.
  • Master`s degree in Nursing Nursing Education other clinical field or MA MS or MEd in adult learning education or organizational improvement related field
  • 5+ Years Clinical experience 2+ years of experience in administration of education programs and curriculum development. 2+ years of experience delivering simulation~based learning.
  • Familiarity with simulation modalities needs analysis and data analysis.
  • Strong human relations and interpersonal skills.
  • Planning deployment and evaluation expertise.
  • Utilizes evidenced based practice principles in course content design. Instructional design experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Excellent presentation and group facilitation skills.
  • Strong computer knowledge in Word Excel and PowerPoint. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to organize and prioritize work.
