Position Requirements:
Radiation Oncology Certificate and/or Associates degree in Radiation Therapy Technology. Able to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and co~workers.

Basic computer skills.
ARRT registry~eligible or ARRT license.

IDNS license.

CPR
This position requires heavy lifting of equipment and patients. Must be able to lift 20lbs. repeatedly.

Standard precautions for dealing with body substances and hazardous materials. Standard precautions for radiation safety as per IDNS.

Able to work flexible hours.

Able to perform job with a high degree of accuracy in a fast~paced work environment

If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

Purpose:
Through the use of Radiation Therapy equipment, the Radiation Therapist will administer ionizing radiation to the cancer patient for localization and/or treatment of tumor volumes as prescribed by the physician. The Radiation Therapist will maintain daily patient treatment records and ensure the general well~being of the patient throughout the entire course of therapy. To act as a team member to achieve system, hospital and deparment KRA's.

Physician Satisfaction ~ Enhances physician engagement by providing consistent partnership to our physicians by meeting the performance standards of the department.
Associate Engagement ~ Promote positive associate engagement by exhibiting Standards of Behavioral Excellence
Funding Our Future ~ Promotes funding our future by assuring processes are followed that ensure accurate and timely charge capture.
