MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible to support effective, efficient, safe operations throughout the integrated medical group 

Works in close collaboration with physicians, APCs, operational leaders, and clinical leaders across the system.  This position does not have direct reports and works through collaboration and influence.  Acts as a catalyst and role model for behavioral and process change. 

Provides tools and establishes expectations for local operations leaders to ensure achievement of operational goals 

Provides ongoing sustainment, monitoring, and elevation of best practices related to operations 

Works collaboratively to update policies and procedures, ensures dissemination and supports education/training 

Provides ambulatory operational expertise for the medical group 

Develops mechanisms to ensure local operational compliance with established medical group standards and assists outliers in improvement efforts 

Collaborates with colleagues both internal and external subject matter experts to gather best practices and benchmark 

Communicates, presents, and influences change while engaging key stakeholders in the process. 

Facilitates multi-disciplinary teams to define objectives and a shared learning utilizing analytical data for support, build buy-in to fixing the problem, identifying teammates to participate in driving the solution. 

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

License/Registration/Certification Required: None Required.

Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Allied Health or related field.

Experience Required: Typically requires 7 years of formal leadership experience (with multiple direct reports) of one or more clinics/patient care areas in an ambulatory care setting.  Prefer experience from large, matrixed health systems. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and quantitative skills; comfortable interpreting large amounts of data  
  • Excellent follow up skills with attention to detail; organized and efficient 
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity and changing priorities 
  • High degree of initiative and independence; need to be able to anticipate problems and act to solve quickly; need to be able to drive self and a team to completion  
  • Excellent communication skills and experience with presentation development and delivery to leadership and peers.  
  • Strong decision-making abilities; decisive, confident and experience influencing others  
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and with a wide variety of professionals at all levels of the health care system.  
  • High degree of skill with Microsoft product suite including PowerPoint, Excel, Word.  
  • Exposure to Microsoft SharePoint. 
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, A3 Thinking 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may require domestic travel to local travel to sites or industry forums.

Work hours may be flexible on occasion but are generally standard business hours 

Exposed to normal office environments/remote work with significant computer work.
