Monday through Friday with coverage on weekends as needed.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of the Service Line:

Collaborates with sites and market group leadership, to review plans, implement, and execute system     wide cardiac programs and services and evaluate program effectiveness.

Facilitates the integration of the cardiac programs and models across market groups, patient service areas, medical groups and other operating units across the system. Actively collaborates with all stakeholders.

In collaboration with site and market group leadership, ensures quality programs and services are available, as well as coordinated and integrated with Advocate Health's long-term strategy and clinical direction.  Identifies opportunities and leads initiatives to improve access and increase patient volumes.

Oversees implementation, integration, and commitment to patient centered care and delivery within cardiac services across the system.

Ensures clinical best practices within clinic and medical centers are implemented and adhered to system wide. Implements and executes ongoing program assessments and action plans based on clinical benchmark standards and accreditation programs. Leads clinicians in meeting or exceeding clinical benchmarks.

Evaluates and analyzes overall program performance including patient loyalty, team member engagement, and quality of life metrics. Leads the implementation of recommendations and work plans for improvement.

Supports the development of subspecialty programs that generate growth and the identification of clinical opportunities.

Accountable for the implementation and monitoring of budgets (expense, assets, production, projects) related to the cardiac program and their financial performance.

Performs human resource responsibilities for teammates which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, teammate development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.

Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.

Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization's business.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

License/Registration/Certification Required: Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.

Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience Required: Typically requires 5 years of experience in cardiac services that includes experiences in managing and developing cardiac program initiatives and clinical best practices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Skills and experience in identifying and implementing clinical best practices and the integration of services across a large integrated health care delivery system.

Expert level knowledge of the advances of cardiac nursing and/or other multidisciplinary practices.

Demonstrated ability to work and function in a complex corporate system environment and obtain the full cooperation of individuals with whom there is no formal reporting relationship.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with staff, leadership, and physicians.

Strong planning and analytical skills required in the innovation of new approaches/initiatives, identification of areas requiring improvement and monitoring of outcomes.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be able to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods.

Exposed to normal office environment.

This position requires travel so will be exposed to weather and road conditions.

Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
