Monday – Friday8:00am to 4:30amThere are 2 positions. One is at Sinai and one is in Greenfield.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Conducts comprehensive neuropsychological testing assessments to help with diagnosis and to help inform treatment planning.
  • Effectively evaluates results of the tests and confers with the clinical staff on difficult issues as necessary.
  • Presents diagnostic results to appropriate clinical staff. Functions as a resource and provides consultation to clinical staff in the interpretation of results and their impact on the treatment plan of the patient. 
  • Accurately completes all documentation responsibilities as outlined in department/service area procedures within established guidelines. Documentation responsibilities include but are not limited to documentation of patient medical and social history, diagnosis, recommendations for treatment, records for billing, etc.
  • May provide direct clinical supervision to clinical staff, field placement, and/or trainees as directed by the site/department manager or program director.
  • Participates and assists in education and training activities designed to enhance clinical staff skills. Is a clinical resource for staff and the community. 
  • Makes appropriate referrals to services within Advocate Health or outside if needed.
  • Actively participates in clinical supervision and peer review activities. Provides consultation with other professionals, including ongoing clinical team treatment staffing
  • Participates in performance improvement activities and care management initiatives as directed.
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • Psychologist license issued by the state of Wisconsin.

Education Required:

  • Doctorate Degree in Psychology.

Experience Required:

  • Typically requires 2 years of experience in post-doctoral clinical experience and in appropriate supervised training applying neuropsychological services in a clinical setting.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Successful completion of systematic didactic and experimental training in psychology or neuropsychology at a regionally accredited university.
  • Board certified or eligible for board certification with the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology (ABCN).
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a complex medical system.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Will frequently be required to lift up to 25 lbs. without assistance, and will occasionally be required to lift over 25 lbs. with assistance.
  • May be exposed to the following hazard: mechanical, electrical, chemical, blood and body fluids.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, squat, bend, reach above shoulders and twist.
  • Must be able to restrain and control patients who are outwardly psychotic or physically combative.
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
