Fitness Specialist/Health NavigatorPart TimeAdvocate WellnessSchedule: Monday – Friday from 5 am – 8 am at Borg Warner Fitness Center in Bellwood. This position is primarily fitness-based. The remaining hours are TBD but mostly helping with backfill at other sites and/or virtual fitness- will travel around Chicagoland area
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Exercise Science, Health Promotion or related field.
Minimum 2 years full time, progressive experience in a health/fitness environment.
Ability to work with others and good management skills.
Advocate Lutheran General
24 hours per week
Familiarity with fitness and wellness operations.
Good oral and written
communications skills.
Demonstrate competency in exercise sciences iwth understanding of the principles related to physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, nutrition and health promotion.
Basic computer skills in
spreadsheet and word processing.
CPR/AED ~ AHA BLS
American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) or similar professional certification (CHES, NASM, NSCA, CWS) Certification by ACE or AFAA for group exercise leadership or similar certifications Ability to travel locally.
