RNs with experience preferred.Night shift, 20 hours/week. 8 hour shifts length (11 pm to 7:30am), Rotating holidays and weekends.The Mental Health Emergency Center (MHEC) will

  • Treat and evaluate anyone in need of emergency mental health services, regardless of their ability to pay or insurance status.
  • Children as young as four-years, adolescents and adults of any age experiencing a mental health crisis will be treated at the MHEC. 
  • The MHEC will have four adult inpatient hospital beds for patients who are expected to have brief stays. In addition, there will be two observation beds. ​ 
  •  The emergency center offers 24/7/365 crisis mental health assessment, stabilization, treatment and transition care management for children, adolescents and adults. There is a separate treatment area for child and adolescent patients, as well as a separate entrance for those arriving via law enforcement

Responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion and skilled communication, leads efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Uses the nursing process to assess the needs of the patient, plan and implement individualized interventions and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care. Includes the patient and family in planning and implementing care and develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.
