Schedule Details/Additional Information:
0700-1900 3 days per week for a total of 36 hours weekly. every other weekend.

Scheduled Hours: Full Time; Day Shift 7:00 am to 7:00 pm including rotating weekends and holidays

Position Requirements:

Certified as EMT paramedic or CNA with 1~2 yrs. of hospital or pre-hospital patient care experience or acceptance at an accredited medical school or completions of 2~3 years of nursing school clinical rotations or an LPN or completion of a certified medical assisting program.

Current CPR certification

Ability to move / lift patients and push carts etc.

Ability to use keyboard see computer screen.

This position requires completion of the age specific competency

Very heavy lifting: Up to 100 pounds occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds frequently and/or in excess of 20 pounds constantly.

May experience unpleasant odors exposures to blood-borne air-borne pathogens and opportunistic pathogens.

High level of stress due to unpredictable patient volumes and degree of critical services needed.

If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance.

For patient lifts of over 35 pounds or when patient is unable to assist with the lift patient handling equipment is expected to be used with at least one other associate when available.

Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Purpose: The purpose of this position is to assist and support the nursing and medical staff of the Emergency Department to perform patient care and environmental tasks and manage supplies and equipment to ensure the customer-focused, cost-effective operation of the department.
