Schedule Details/Additional Information:
M-F (8-4:30p and 10-630p once a week). 4 days in office, 1 day remote allowed. The position is with our Trauma Recovery Center (TRC)

Major Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care Services: Provides crisis intervention, brief psychotherapy, triage, resource development and disposition recommendations for Trauma Recovery Center patients. Provides direct specialized care with patients who have been identified as needing psychological assessment or interventions.
  • Record keeping: Completes various clinical and administrative forms. Assure accurate data collection for scheduling, the management information system, and other purposes in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Clinical Supervision: Provides supervision of the assessment process and other professional duties. Directs trainees on approaches to patient needs or suggests alternative approaches for resolution of problems
  • Organizational and Training Activities: Actively participates in organizational performance improvement, utilization review and incident debriefing activities in ways that make a positive contribution to organizational operations.

Licensure:

  • LCSW, or LCPC (LCSW/LCPC considered for level 2 role)
  • LSW, LPC, or those working towards LSW/LPC, (LSW/LPC or working towards licensure considered for Level 1 role)

Education/Experience Required:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work or Counseling with a minimum of one year experience in a mental health or related setting.
  • Knowledge of state law regarding confidentiality, mental health code and federal substance abuse codes
  • Knowledge of behavioral health and healthcare resources.

  • Clinically appropriate skills; organization, time management and documentation skills
  • Psychotherapy and family/group treatment skills Linkage, resource development skills
  • Demonstrates keyboard skills and familiarity with a Windows environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary for frequent interdisciplinary interaction.

  • May be exposed to patients that potentially could be violent; has knowledge of techniques to de-escalate verbal and physically aggressive behavior
  • Flexibility and openness to working any Crisis/Consult Liaison shift Familiarity with the roles and functioning of other providers in the behavioral health, addictions and healthcare treatment network.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills highly preferred
