Position Requirements: High school graduate3 years medical billing or collections medical claims processing experience insurance verification or home care customer service. Ability to operate data entry keyboard and 10 key calculator.Working knowledge of PC with experience in word processing or spreadsheet applications.Orientation to detail and accuracy.Good math skills.Good knowledge of billing and third party reimbursement. Ability to understand broader scope of operations and adapt to changes accordingly.Excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette.Good communication skills.Requires minimal supervision.Works under pressure and meets deadlines.Ability to identify and set prioritiesAbility to work in a team environment.Adapts approach in all interactions. None Travel to other Advocate locations and outside seminars and meetings in all weather conditions on all types of roads. Ability to work flexible hours with possibility of overtime throughout the month.If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds or when patient is unable to assist with the lift patient handling equipment is expected to be used with at least one other associate when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.Purpose: The purpose of this position is to help achieve the vision of Advocate Home Health Services by performing the duties of this position in a cost effective results oriented and customer focused manner.
