Schedule Details/Additional Information:
May need to start at 5:00am, Monday – Friday.
- Distribution of Supplies
- 2)Replenishes clinical supplies according to designated replenishment process. Performs daily rounding in clinical departments to maintain stocking levels.
- 3)Performs equipment rounds to ensure all Nursing units and departments are properly stocked.
- 4)Performs safe transportation of all supplies, equipment and pressurized medical gas.
- 5)Obtains signatures for all deliveries.
- 6)Delivers and picks up gas cylinders as required.
- 1)Picks items needed to satisfy all par levels, department requisition, or STAT orders.
- 7)Maintains customer focused to meet the needs of internal departments to assist in customer satisfaction.
- Receiving
- 1)Receives product from carrier, ensures that the manifest matches the number of pieces delivered and the product(s) are not damaged.
- 2)Compares packing list to individual products received for correct catalog number, quantity, and expiration date.
- 3)Communicates shortages / over shipments, damages, or errors to the appropriate Purchasing representative.
- 4)Stages product for Departmental delivery and/or par stocks as necessary. Follows established process for par stock replenishment.
- 5)Prepares any outgoing shipments according to the carriers procedure and contacts the carrier when necessary.
- 6)Follows established policy and procedure for returned goods.
- Warehousing of all storeroom supplies, equipment, and gas.
- 4)Maintains inventory locations, par items, and labels.
- 5)Maintains a secure storeroom with limited access.
- 6)Maintains gas cylinders in a safe environment, distributes and picks up tanks as needed
- 1)Puts away all storeroom stock received that day as required.
- 2)Assures all stock is rotated on a regular basis in storeroom and par stock areas. Audits stock regularly to ensure no expired items.
- 3)Maintains proper levels for all equipment.
- Inventory Control
- 1)Participates in designated stock audits as required.
- 2)Participates in cycle counting when scheduled
- 3)Performs physical counts on all Par stock items kept in Supply Lockers, according to inventory worksheets.
- 4)Provides notification regarding any product shortages or stock outs
- Other Duties
- 1)Coordinates any special equipment needs with departments as required.
- 2)Performs all other duties as required.
- Documentation and Computer Entry
- 1)Performs computer entry of all product received and issued from the storeroom as needed.
- 2)Creates documentation for all computer entries.
- 3)File paperwork daily.
- Department Cleanliness
- 1)Maintains a clean, organized and safe environment in the department.
- 2)Disposes of all boxes, sweeps warehouse floor, and maintains a clean work space.
- 3)Keep aisles clear of boxes, place all stock in proper location on shelf.
- 4)Consolidate all open supplies to ensure a clean uncluttered place for medical supplies.
Education/Experience Required:
- * High School diploma * 6 months healthcare experience preferred.

Physicial Requirements and Working Conditions:
- * Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and/or in excess of 50 pounds frequently and/or in excess of 20 pounds constantly. * Ability to handle multiple projects within tight deadlines * Ability to work rotation shifts and holidays. * Ability to pull and push carts, flat bed trucks and hand jacks. *May be exposed to hazardous materials. * Ability to communicate with all departments in hospital * Ability to recognize supplies by name and location. * Ability to access and transport supplies to all areas as required.
