Schedule Details/Additional Information:
Monday through Friday 1st shift.
Position Requirements:
2 years secretarial experience, healthcare environment preferred.
High school or equivalent
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
Good communication skills Typing ~ minimum 30 wpm preferred Computer literate with multiple database, spreadsheet and software/windows applications (Excel, MSWord, PowerPoint,) Ability to create spreadsheets and manipulate data. Travel may be required to provide support to assigned committees, etc.
Ability to work in a fast~paced environment with established time constraints
If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.
Purpose:
To provide administrative, secretarial and clerical support to the Department of Radiation Oncology. To ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
