Schedule Details/Additional Information:
Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, with some requirements to be flexible to accommodate business needs.Remote role with requirements to be onsite occasionally.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides consultation to leaders, physicians and staff on complex physician relations issues involving performance and behavioral issues, allegations of harassment, discrimination, unfair treatment, etc., while being considerate of employment agreement provisions and the medical group leadership and governance structure.
  • Conducts fact-finding to investigate physician relations matters raised by physicians, leaders, team members or patients.
  • Skillfully advises leaders, physicians and team members on performance management issues including coaching and corrective action.
  • Serves as resource, partner, mentor, and coach to Team Member Relations Consultants regarding physician relations matters. Provides input to Director Physician Relations regarding physician leader developmental opportunities and process improvement opportunities.
  • Serves as a liaison between site-based HR colleagues and the physician relations team, ensuring proper communication, collaboration and information sharing
  • Collaborates with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Team Member Relations and Medical Staff Services departments while navigating employed physician relations matters.  Partners with Legal to respond to employment charges from federal government agencies (e.g. EEOC) and state agencies (e.g. Illinois Department of Human Rights or Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development).
  • Partners with COEs to gather information to navigate physican relations matters, providing recommendations that thoughtfully consider benefits, workers compensation, and disability implications asscoiated with employment actions.
  • Serves as system resource for employed physician employment actions and related medical staff considerations.
  • Serves as the primary resource for leaders of physicians regarding administration of human resources policies and programs as well as policy interpretation and application.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Level of Education:   Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Years of Experience:  Requires 5 years of experience in general HR or organizational development including successful experience with physician relations, team member relations, team interventions, and leader coaching including performance management and dispute resolution.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)

  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to build/foster strong trusting relationships, influence leaders, use consultation and negotiation skills and develop solutions to achieve results.
  • Ability to advise leaders on how to successfully lead people through change.
  • Must be self-directed, self-motivated, flexible. Ability to take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and effectively manage multiple conflicting priorities and deadlines.
  • Solid HR technical experience and expertise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-Awareness, ability to manage self and others; ability to successfully lead a team.
