About the Team
The Talent Insights & Competitor Intelligence team is a newly established function within Advocate’s Talent Acquisition organization. Our mission is to deliver actionable analytics, market trends, and competitor insights that empower strategic hiring decisions—helping Advocate attract, engage, and retain top talent.
About the Role
We are seeking an Analytics Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions that power talent reporting and analytics. This role is critical in transforming raw data into clean, analytics-ready models that enable self-service dashboards, scorecards, and insights for business leaders.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about building robust data pipelines and models that drive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data transformations that convert raw data into analytics-ready tables for dashboards, scorecards, and self-service tools.
- Build and optimize data models to support complex business requirements and scalable analytics solutions.
- Collaborate with technology teams to integrate data from multiple sources and ensure seamless data flow.
- Partner with consultants, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and serve as the data lead for projects.
- Implement automation and quality checks to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Continuously improve processes and recommend best practices for data engineering and analytics.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in data warehousing, modeling, and analytics, including hands-on experience with scalable ELT solutions.
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Programming experience in Python, Java, or R.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, GCP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
