Certified Nursing Assistant
Major Responsibilities:
The CNA plays a vital role in patient care by assisting RNs with daily tasks. Their duties include providing personal care (bathing, feeding, hygiene), monitoring vital signs, collecting specimens, and maintaining a clean and organized patient environment. CNAs must adhere to infection prevention protocols, practice proper patient positioning and skin care, and be knowledgeable about age-specific patient needs. They must also have a basic understanding of medical procedures and be able to follow the directions of the RN. CNAs also contribute to the admission, transfer, and discharge process.
- Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 45 days, and
- Nurse Aide in good standing as indicated with the State Registry in which the team member practices.

- High School Graduate.
