Schedule Details/Additional Information:
- 2nd Shift Monday-Friday: 1400-2230
- Weekends: Approximately every 8th weekend
- Holidays: 1-2 per year
- Call: 4-5 shifts per month (the majority of the call shifts are back up call)
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) registration and certification issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) needs to be obtained within 2 years, or
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification issued by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), or
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certification issued by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), and
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
Education Required:
- Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology.
Experience Required:
- No experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and magnetic safety.
- Competent in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills to work effectively with physicians, patients and other staff members.
- Ability to work independently.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Certification Addendum
- Team members will maintain annual educational requirements for hospital based certifications (e.g.DNV, CARF or others).
