24/7 Leadership accountability for Medical Group operations across Central Chicagoland Area

Major Responsibilities:

  • Partners with system service line leadership, AAH medical group, business development and other key stakeholders to ensure competitive advantage, develop consumer retention strategies and set direction. Prioritizes targeted strategic initiatives for service line leaders, both short term and long term, by identifying achievable growth opportunities and identifying root causes of market share performance.
  • Partners with medical group leadership to ensure competitive performance on system wide quality and patient safety initiatives. Prioritizes strategic and operational initiatives that create the necessary operational foundation to yield operational excellence in access, patient experience, and physician/clinician well being.
  • Strategic leadership and operational management oversight of the PSA’s service lines with key success metrics. Identifies opportunities for improvement and partners with leadership to drive change.
  • Directs and controls allocation of resources, including capital and expenses, FTE utilization, and space to effectively meet goals and objectives. Provides guidance to their leadership teams on creating flexible and agile work teams to efficiently meet supply and demand in the PSA.
  • Accountable for the development, execution, administration, and evaluation of efficient and effective clinic operations to support AAH’s purpose, values, and strategic initiatives. Ensures safe, quality and efficient patient services leading to overall patient satisfaction.
  • Ensures alignment and coordination of clinic services across the care continuum, thus partnering with hospital, ambulatory and post-acute services. Designs service line programs around patient needs and preferences.
  • Responsible for the standardization of operational performance and patient care delivery behaviors and processes across the delivery system.
  • Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new team members, development, performance management and overall team member engagement.
  • Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
  • Supports and is an active participant in physician and APC recruitment, to include plan development for new specialties, implementation timetable, physician contracts, and utilization of clinic space.
  • Facilitates the assimilation of newly hired or affiliated physicians into the group practice setting/SL and supports ongoing communications and relationships with physicians.
  • Drives productivity benchmarks and monitors performance against established internal benchmarks. Monitors the industry trends and benchmarks to ensure services and strategies contribute to the highest quality patient care and increased patient loyalty.

Education/Experience Required:

  • Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Management or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in management in either clinic or acute environments that includes experiences developing and leading operations and successfully developing physician relationships.
