Major Responsibilities:
- Conduct ongoing learning needs analysis to design and develop role-specific and site-specific learning strategies for Facilities and Safety service lines.
- Create and maintain a standardized onboarding program for all Facilities new hires.
- Develop and execute comprehensive training plans to address service line needs and teammate skill gaps. Coordinate logistics for training events, including scheduling, venue booking, and materials preparation.
- Lead training sessions or collaborate with external trainers and subject matter experts, delivering content in various formats (instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced).
- Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and performance data, developing metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and making data-driven improvements. Oversees the training budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
- Regularly update training content to stay current with industry trends and best practices. Ensure all training materials comply with relevant regulations and maintain accurate training records for AHJ compliance.
- Manage the PolicyTech database, standardizing policy and procedure formats, and developing educational resources for policy management.
- Develop and implement content strategies to increase awareness and understanding of training programs.
- Lead recruitment engagements, maintain relationships with educational institutions, and promote job fairs and career development opportunities. Assist with succession planning. Create an individualized enhancement plan for teammates —with emphasis on those seeking promotional opportunities.
- Partner with Facilities leadership to align training goals with reducing turnover, enhancing retention, and promoting operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with corporate workforce development on apprenticeship and continuing education programs.
- Designs and directs the work of the team(s). Selects, coaches, and develops team(s). Sets clear expectations to inspire and motivate the team. Manages performance by recognizing achievement, providing feedback, and administering progressive discipline when necessary.
- May develop and/or recommend operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
- Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that people actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations, and laws applicable to the organization's business.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Valid driver’s license required.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Education, Organizational Development, Facilities Management, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in training and leadership development, with a strong background in designing and delivering training programs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, for internal and external interactions.
- Proven experience in designing and executing learning programs aligned with strategic business priorities using various learning modalities.
- Deep knowledge of adult learning methodologies to create impactful learning experiences.
- Experience in developing annual training plans and materials for an enterprise, with curriculum development and course design experience being a plus.
- Proficiency in managing learning and content management platforms.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and effective follow-through skills.
- Proven ability to supervise effectively, foster a positive work environment, and support others in achieving their career goals.
- Expertise in assessing training needs, measuring effectiveness, and making data-driven improvements.
- Experience designing engaging training programs that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Strong time management skills, ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, act with integrity, and support positive culture and talent strategies.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time as dictated by business needs.
- Ability to visit various teammate work locations, including mechanical spaces, hot locations, both inside and outside of facilities.
