Position Requirements:
~ 2 year Radiology or MRI
program graduate
ARRT or ARMRIT
~ Completion of formalized
MRI course at Junior College level or above or equivalent.
~ Must be able to recognize
needs and behaviors of a variety of age groups of patients treated, i.e., understand child growth development, normal
patterns of adolescent behavior and look for signs of normal aging, prior experience with
various age groups is preferred. ~ Basic knowledge of cross
sectional anatomy and
knowledge of MRI/MRA
clinical protocols.
~ Knows and understands MRI physics.
~ Knows and understands MRI safety.
~ MRI Board eligible
~ CPR Certification
~MRI Board Certification:
new hire license required 1 year from hire date.
~Ability to work overtime when required.
~Ability to be flexible in starting times to meet

If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.
Purpose:
Performs a comprehensive range of magnetic resonance procedures, providing examinations of optimal quality for the diagnosis and treatment of illness and injury.
Accountabilities:
Accountable for the positioning and immobilization of patients and proper selection of technical factors along with computer reformatting of acquired data to obtain magnetic resonance scans of optimal quality.
Accountable for obtaining documentation for department records related to patient statistics, supplies, patient billing information and preservation of patient records
Accountable for securing pertinent history from patient, patient's chart or family member to provide the radiologist with adequate information for examination interpretation and to ensure procedural criteria is met
