Schedule Details/Additional Information:
Monday-Friday 0900-1730Holiday rotation
- Acts as a resource to department, facilities, and other entities as follows: dispatches customer requests for supplies/equipment; distributes supplies/equipment in response to issue requisitions, customer requests, defined replenishment schedules and purchase orders. Follows up with requests to ensure completion.
- Ensures availability of supplies/equipment and timely delivery of requests. Receives, stocks, and stores incoming supplies and equipment. Warehouses and maintains inventory levels. Performs issues/credits for supplies/equipment as necessary.
- Ensures proper billing by accurately recording all forms for proper invoicing and charging. Data enters charges for related supplies/equipment.
- Prepares, distributes and transports supplies/equipment for safe and appropriate distribution to facilities, departments, or other entities as required.
- Ensures patient care equipment is properly cleaned, stored and distributed in order to reduce the risk of cross contamination.
- Maintains security, orderliness, and cleanliness in all working areas while providing for the continual checking, rotation and removal of outdated and/or damaged supplies/equipment.
- Ensures efficient and accurate record-keeping systems to ensure productivity and to verify receipt, storage and distribution of supplies/equipment.
- Receives and records orders for departments requesting supplies/equipment by using computer order entry, telephone, and in-person requests.
- May replenish and maintain specialty carts, trays and kits (Code Carts, Isolation Carts, Lime Trays, etc.) checking for outdated supplies as necessary.
- Ensures proper preparation, packaging, initiation of return, and any required follow-up to returned material to vendors as instructed by appropriate documentation.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- None Required.
Education Required:
- High School Graduate.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 2 years of experience in in receiving, stocking, and distributing supplies/equipment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Must have the ability to react to fast-paced, stressful situations in a calm, professional and efficient manner.
- Ability to prioritize and work independently with good organizational and time management skills.
- Must have good communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) or similar products.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, have ability to lift, bend, squat, and twist the majority of the workday and crawl, kneel, and climb throughout.
- Must be able to:
- lift up to 15 lbs. from floor to overhead.
- lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
- lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at waist height a reasonable distance.
- Must be able to:
- push/pull with 20 lbs. of force.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the duties of the job including but not limited to data entry into Material Management Computer System, data entry into hand-held computers, operation of material handling machinery (i.e., Reach trucks, order pickers, pallet movers).
