Advocate South Suburban Hospital is seeking an Acute Care Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join their Critical Care team in Hazel Crest, Illinois. The Critical Care team will be staffed with intensivists and APRNs to provide 24/7 coverage to critically ill patients in the hospital and will work collaboratively with consultants, internal medicine, and emergency department.
- APC will work autonomously and in collaboration with the ICU intensivist and will be required to perform several technical skills including central and arterial line placements – experience with these skills is highly desirable, but training will be provided
- Part Time position, which include two 12-hour shifts per week, rotation of days and nights each month, every third weekend, rotating holidays
- Will demonstrate competency in all areas of APC practice including medical knowledge, interpersonal and communication skills, patient care, professionalism, practice-based learning, and improvement
- Will develop a knowledge of emerging trends in technologies, techniques, and approaches in area of expertise
- Strong work ethic, interpersonal and communication skills
- Will collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team in an effective and comprehensive manner
