Schedule Details/Additional Information:
M-F 8 am – 5 pm. This is a hybrid role requiring flexibility to go onsite across Advocate Health enterprise locations and regions including Illinois, Wisconsin, North Carolina and Georgia, as needed. 

Strategic and Operational Consulting is seeking dynamic, self-starters to join our team of internal business consultants and help execute transformational and foundational strategic initiatives, identify local performance improvement opportunities, and design, pilot, and scale solutions across Advocate Health.

We invite those with relevant experience in three or more of the following areas to apply:

  • Performance improvement/problem solving
  • Data analytics/visualization
  • Financial analysis/modeling
  • Strategic assessments & design
  • Project delivery/portfolio management

About the team

Strategic and Operational Consulting is an internal consulting group that partners with Advocate Health leaders on key strategic and operational initiatives in an efficient & comprehensive manner.  Our team-based approach enables us to provide a variety of services including strategy facilitation, complex problem solving, solution design, scaling, and implementation of initiatives.   We pride ourselves on being strategic thought partners, internal change agents, facilitators, influencers, and implementers. We partner with senior leadership to identify and support our organization’s top priorities, solve business issues through the application of a variety of problem-solving & design methodologies and develop & deploy playbooks based on the organization’s needs.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • None Required.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare or related field.

Experience Required:

  • Typically requires 3 years of experience in healthcare provider, healthcare consulting or payer operations.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Knowledge and expertise in use of project, program management, and performance improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to concisely communicate with key leaders.
  • Highly motivated, organized, self-starter with a focus on delivery of key project objectives with the ability to work through the challenges associated with projects of varying complexity.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and evidence of being a strong team player. Possesses a strong orientation toward innovation and new ideas.
  • Facilitation and persuasion skills with ability to influence peers, superiors and sub-ordinates. Capable of influencing project team members to achieve goals associated with successful project delivery.
  • Reliably work with operational leaders to address important factors in critical decisions.
  • Ability to conduct data analysis and glean insights relevant to the work.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Position requires travel and is therefore exposed to road, weather, and normal travel hazards.
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
  • Exposed to a normal office environment.
