Schedule Details/Additional Information:
M-F 8-5Python programming skills are preferred.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and logical thinking, creativity, self-reliance, communication skills and ability to effectively integrate varied components of a system.
  • Independently complete analysis, development and enhancement of analytical and operational BI solutions to fulfill business needs. Provide expertise in areas to assist fellow team members with analysis and development of solutions fitting enterprise solutions.
  • Work independently or as part of a group and balance multiple priorities while consistently completing complex tasks on time in a rigorous goal-oriented manner.
  • Independently work closely with end users to understand and translate business needs to create well-designed and validated solutions using business intelligence tools. While overseeing team member designs to ensure alignment with BI strategy.
  • Maintain technical currency and certifications in areas of responsibility and communicates effectively with team members and associates at all levels.
  • Provides complete and accurate documentation for work based on current documentation standards. Coordinates team members to come up with standards and documentation as needed.
  • Provides production support for business intelligence solutions. Activities include problem analysis, break/fix, design/modeling, implementation/coding, and testing.
  • Serve as a SME on initiatives that require business intelligence expertise.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • Epic Cogito Data Warehouse certification issued by Epic. needs to be obtained within 90 days, and
  • Epic Caboodle Data Model certification issued by Epic. needs to be obtained within 90 days, and
  • Epic Clarity Administration certification issued by Epic. needs to be obtained within 90 days.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Experience Required:

  • Typically requires 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Team player with a positive attitude, strong commitment to customer service and a desire to learn healthcare related systems and business processes.
  • Experienced in logical and physical database design, hands-on data modeling techniques, and development methodology, physical schema design of table spaces, rollback segments, and data files.
  • Experienced in the design of data extracts, migration, and queuing facilities. Proficiency in the concepts and practice of database normalization techniques
  • Strong working knowledge of business intelligence concepts and designs.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a group and balance multiple priorities while consistently completing complex tasks in a rigorous goal-oriented manner. Demonstrated strong analytical and logical thinking, creativity, self-reliance, communication skills and ability to effectively integrate varied components of a system.
  • Ability to lead large projects and implement department wide solution and standards
  • Ability to mentor team members in BI space
  • Experienced in the design/development of enterprise business intelligence solutions.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Travel outside of workplace is required and thus incumbent is exposed to weather and road conditions.
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
  • Exposed to normal office environment.
