OPERATIONAL IMPLEMENTATION:
5)Serves as an expert resource to team in analyzing and interpreting data based on clinical expertise and current evidence based literature identifying patterns, trends, opportunities for improvement and highlighting best practices found. Utilizes current evidence to guide the team in developing recommendations and strategies to address identified opportunities and improve patient outcomes.
6)Uses current clinical knowledge and expertise to assist with reports of team activity by using appropriate visual tools to display outcomes. Documents opportunities for improvement and highlights achievements as compared to current evidence.
1)Identifies and uses appropriate clinically relevant sources of evidence for projects assigned.
2)Oversees and participates in the systematic and purposeful collection of data, information, and knowledge to facilitate comprehensive assessment of projects and identify opportunities for improved organizational outcomes in the pursuit of performance distinction.
3)Assists the team, in understanding methods used for data collection and data definitions.
4)Utilizing clinical expertise participates in chart abstraction for various clinical outcome measures and databases in accordance with established data definitions and programs.

1)Utilizes appropriate empirical evidence, theories and framework to provide assessment of practice and processes.
2)Uses current evidence to analyze data and develop recommendations and strategies to address complex issues and identify opportunities for improvement

2)Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and changes through education of team members, and interaction with assigned units and department associates.
3)Conducts tracers to establish compliance with regulatory requirements and agencies. Identifies opportunities for improvement and best practices. Shares information with team to enhance patient outcomes and achieve clinical excellence.
4)Provides consultation to clinical units on opportunities for improvement and practice changes needed in order to meet and exceed regulatory requirements.
5)Works collaboratively with leadership to explore opportunities to move data acquisition to a different status or function so that optimization can occur.

1)Meets all requirements and maintains current IL RN licensure.

Licensure:
Nurse, Registered (RN)
Education/Experience Required:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s Degree in related healthcare field; if no Bachelors, must enroll in BSN program within 2 years and complete within 5 years or equivalent experience • 3-5 years of clinical practice in a hospital setting • Knowledge in quality improvement activities and use of current evidence based practice • Knowledge of change management theory and process.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
• Proficient in spreadsheet, word processing, database, and graphic software. • Proficient in evidence based practice, critical thinking, statistical knowledge, analytical skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a wide variety of healthcare individuals and teams. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills • Ability to work with diverse teams and individuals
