Schedule Details/Additional Information:
Standard business hours with the ability to work nights and weeks when needed.
Major Responsibilities:
- Manages a remote and occasionally onsite team of Teammate Relations Consultants by providing coaching, monitoring performance, offering feedback, balancing caseloads, and leading team meetings.
- Keeps up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, NLRB updates and requirements.
- Ensures that teammate relations policies, protocols, and practices comply with both federal/state requirements and AH Values, Behaviors, and Just Culture principles.
- Acts as an escalation point for unresolved teammate relations concerns.
- Provides consistent and uniform handling of teammate relations matters across the enterprise.
- Partners with HR partners, senior leaders, and other key departments like Compliance, Legal, Risk, Public Safety, and Employee Health through communication, collaboration, and information sharing regarding teammate relations updates, cases, and trends.
- Leads and supports labor relations initiatives throughout the enterprise.
- Identifies, recommends, and implements improvements within the teammate relations department.
- Works regularly with the legal department to respond to government and state agency employment charges (e.g., EEOC), and attorney liens.
- Monitors employment charges, and cases to identify trends, recommend solutions, and inform capacity building efforts.
- Partners with Vice President of Teammate Relations and other TMR leaders to ensure HR policies and best practices are current, effective, communicated, and consistently applied.
- Develops, educates, and advises leaders and teammates on teammate relations policies, interpretation, and processes.
- Conducts complex workplace investigations including harassment, discrimination, theft, and diversion cases.
- Performs HR responsibilities for teammate relations consultants, including hiring, promotions, development, evaluations, compensation, concern resolution, corrective actions, terminations, and morale maintenance.
- Adheres to and promotes the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct, ensuring personal and supervised employees' compliance with policies, regulations, and laws.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- None Required.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, or
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, or
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, or
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 7 years of experience in general HR in consultation, coaching, and guiding both leaders and team members in complex employee relations matters. Includes 3 year of supervisory experience in successfully leading a team.

- Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate, and build relationships with key stakeholders and partnering departments.
