The Behavioral Health Assessor provides assessments for patients in the Advocate Emergency Department, Nursing Departments, Advocate Behavioral Health and Polk Medical Center. The Assessor provides a clean, safe, and quiet environment in support of the patient's comfort and contentment and performs duties associated with the assessment process, while collaborating with the psychiatrists, ED physicians, Hospitalist, and Medical Service physicians to determine treatment recommendations and patient disposition. The Behavioral Health Assessor works closely with the medical staff, and other hospital staff, who support care of the adult, child, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
Qualifications:
A. Education
1. Graduate from a Master's level program in counseling, psychology, social work or related field
B. Experience
1. Experience in related field, two years of behavioral health counseling, and evidence of continuing professional development preferred
C. Licensure/Certification
1. applicable state state licensure encouraged (LCP, LCSW, or LPC eligible)
