Remote position primary associated work location will the the AAO office.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the development and maintenance of the chart of accounts, the overall structure of the FDM, development of conversion programs through communications with internal stakeholders, and actively partners with the operations finance and information systems staff to ensure that any reporting requirements will be met on a timely basis and be accurately supported with appropriate documentation.
  • Provides project direction and oversight, during the design, construction, testing and implementation phases of a financial system and/or upgrade project to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the AAH financial data.
  • Directs the maintenance and bi-annual upgrades, including training and testing, of the Finance/General Ledger and related modules of the WorkDay and legacy financial systems.
  • Accountable for the FDM security for the ERP financial software for the new AAH and the legacy Systems
  • Directs the development of custom applications and tools for task automation, process improvement, management reporting, and internal controls. Directs staff to continually monitor new developments in system design efficiencies and tools.
  • Directs the integration and balancing of the Lawson general ledger and interfaces from subsystems activities, payroll, purchasing, accounts payable, absence management, etc) and other interfaces for revenue and accounts receivable, and additional custom interfaces in order to provide accurate and timely recording and reporting of financial data.
  • Directs and coordinates education of AAH associates on AAH financial systems and tools
  • Provides oversight to financial and system support analysts in order to meet the financial applications design, implementation, maintenance and enhancement requirements.
  • Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
  • Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology.

Experience Required:

  • Typically requires 7 years of experience in Ideal candidate will have 7 years of progressive experience with 3 years managing an ERP.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Advanced knowledge of creating and managing financial reporting within an ERP system. Knowledge of data flow between ERP modules. Demonstrated strategic influence skills, tactical planning skills, time management skills and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate/collaborate effectively with all levels of staff, management, executives, providers, physicians and external organizations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar products. Strong background and experience in the preparation and review of health care financial statements and specific account analysis. Experience
  • with Internal Controls over financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and analyze the underlying business and its implications on financial accounting and reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and leading complex accounting projects through all phases.
  • Demonstrated ability in handling multiple priorities within tight time frames.
