Primary Purpose
Responsible for leading enterprise-wide ambulatory surgery center platform growth and development across Advocate Health. Focuses on joint venture strategy and execution, management services platform optimization, enterprise operational performance and infrastructure, and expansion into new geographies. Drives capital planning initiatives and coordinates enterprise resources to support scalable ASC platform development while fostering strategic partnerships and innovative business models for long-term growth.
Major Responsibilities
Lead joint venture development and execution across the enterprise in coordination with divisional operational leaders, including identification and evaluation of strategic physician partners, structuring of joint venture arrangements, due diligence processes, and oversight of partnership integration to expand ASC platform presence and capabilities.
Develop and optimize management services platform across all ASCs managed by Advocate Health Surgery Centers, ensuring standardized service delivery models, operational excellence frameworks, and scalable management structures that create consistent processes, workflows, and outcomes.
Monitor and enhance enterprise operational performance across the ASC platform through comprehensive analytics, system productivity benchmarks, industry trend monitoring, and performance improvement initiatives that drive quality, efficiency, financial outcomes, and highest patient experience levels across all centers.
Coordinate enterprise resources and capabilities including corporate functions integration to support ASC platform development, maximizing alignment of system resources and strategic initiatives to achieve platform effectiveness and growth potential.
Drive new growth initiatives through comprehensive market analysis, opportunity assessment, site selection, expansion through de novo centers, and strategic entry planning to identify areas of unmet needs across Advocate Health's geographies and deliver solutions from concept through implementation.
Support comprehensive capital planning for ASC platform development including system capital budget development and execution, investment prioritization, capital allocation strategies, financial feasibility studies, and ROI optimization to support sustainable growth and platform expansion within approved budget parameters.
Design and implement platform optimization strategies that leverage economies of scale, standardize operational processes across centers, and create synergies across the enterprise ASC network to enhance competitive positioning and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with divisional operational leaders to establish and maintain strategic relationships with key external stakeholders including potential joint venture partners, management companies, independent/non-employed physician partners, and industry leaders while conducting financial feasibility studies and developing proposals for new business opportunities.
Develop innovative business models and service delivery approaches that position Advocate Health's ASC platform for long-term success in evolving healthcare markets, including value-based care arrangements, emerging payment models, and strategies to respond to external reimbursement and consumer demands.
Create and execute strategic initiatives that support enterprise ASC platform scalability including technology integration, operational standardization, capability development, and system initiatives that cut across surgery centers to accomplish growth, effectiveness, quality, and patient satisfaction goals while ensuring compliance with organizational compliance plans and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Master’s degree in Health Administration or Business Administration.
Certification / Registration / License

Work Experience
Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in the healthcare field, preferably with substantial experience in outpatient and/or medical group settings, including 5+ years in management roles within ambulatory surgery environments.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Experience with and understanding of ambulatory surgery center operations, de novo development, and joint ventures. Proven ability to build and cultivate strong relationships and influence with physicians and system executives. Financial acumen and experience with expansion of new sites of care. Ability to intersect with multiple key stakeholders in the execution of highly complex arrangements. Exceptional ability to execute on deliverables and manage complex stakeholder arrangements.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
