This is a 0.9 FTE or 72 hours per pay period cardiology clinic RN position to support Dr. Bajwa. It will be a Monday through Friday with no weekends. No major US holidays. Start time varies depending on the clinic you are covering. Start time: 7:00am-8:00am and End Time: 3:30-5:00pm- 8-hour shifts only. Main location is St. Luke's Campus. Travel is required to the following locations depending on the provider you are covering. West Allis, Sinai, Muskego, Franklin, Oak Creek, Good Hope, Mayfair, Edgerton, Greenfield, Brookfield. Mileage reimbursement provided

Actual compensation offered in the Pay Range of $31.10 – $46.60 and will be based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience and/or training and internal equity. To accompany base pay we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:

Provides and coordinates nursing care in collaboration with the health team for patients requiring specialty services. This includes the assessment of patient and caregiver(s); establishment of the nursing care plan; teaching; evaluation of clinical outcomes; and assistance in program development including system processes to provide cost-effective quality care.

Provides ongoing care (assess, plan, intervention, and evaluation), according to the age specific and developmental needs of the patient. Assesses educational needs and provides teaching and counseling to the patient and their family. Integrates health promotion and preventive aspects of care. Assumes primary responsibility for caseloads consisting of patients in specialty area.

Anticipates and recognizes changes in a patient's status and need for care. Determines priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs. Provides on-going assessment of patient's response to services and teaching and applies interventions as appropriate. Updates and revises care plan as needed. Communicates with physicians to confirm, correlate, and update patient's plan of care. Provides status update to physician on a regular basis.

Maintains and updates accurate clinical and patient records according to agency, state, and federal guidelines.

Provides telephone consultation/triage to patient, family, and/or significant others according to protocol and established guidelines.

Participates in community education programs and continuous quality improvement activities.

Assists in development and implementation of staff orientation and educational activities.

Follows published agency policies and procedures and regularly monitors changes or additions to them.

Continually strives to advance knowledge and practice of clinical skills in specialty area including certification as warranted.

Scheduled Hours

72 hours per pay period

Monday-Friday- No holidays, weekend or on-call shifts 

May travel to outreach locations.

Licenses & Certifications

Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices, and

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).

Degrees

Associate's Degree in Nursing.

Required Functional Experience

Typically requires 2 years of experience in acute care nursing that includes experiences in an applicable clinical specialty (such as: cardiology, urology or orthopedics).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to work independently and make sound judgments. Exceptional organization and communication skills (oral and written).Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions.
