Schedule Details/Additional Information:
Rotating day shift hours with 8 and 12 hour shifts from 0630-1900 for Phase I and Phase II. Rotating 4-hour Saturday shift for Phase I.

Position Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology/Cardiac Rehab Clinically appropriate skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively with internal and external customers
  • Proficient in telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation
  • Computer skills
  • Able to teach classes to 15~20 people
  • ACLS Certification
  • BLS Certification
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting effort up to 50 lbs. related to patients.
  • May be exposed to hazardous materials and life~threatening disease.
  • Ability to work designated shifts, including weekends.
  • Ability to travel between sites of care (inpatient and outpatient) in a single work day.
  • If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case~by~case basis.

Accountabilities:

  • Demonstrates the ability to appropriately assess the patient in a systematic way to assure safe and effective exercise documents patient assessment and teaching.
  • Conducts exercise sessions.
  • Demonstrates the ability to evaluate and revise the patient exercise plan as needed and documents revisions according to policy and procedure.
  • Accepts responsibility for development and professional practice.
  • Participates in research, development and implementation of new programs related to cardiac risk reduction.
