Schedule Details/Additional Information:
This is a full-time fully remote position for an individual with strong Excel skills and experience in healthcare accounting

    Major Responsibilities:

    • Participates in the Month-End process for areas of responsibility, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules, to ensure all financial transactions and related statistical data are recorded accurately and timely to the general ledger and related sub-systems in adherence to the established monthly financial close schedule.
    • Aid in helping to develop process improvements by identifying inefficiencies in workflow and implementation of new improved processes and procedures, re-assessing journal entry, reserve models and reconciliation processes to ensure updated efficiencies are working properly
    • Provide support as needed to Finance and Operations on reimbursement related matters by preparing service area variance analysis of net revenue rate monthly
    • Prepares reserve rate analysis and provide recommendations to ensure that all regulatory reviews are completed accurately and on time.

    Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required:

    • None Required

    Education Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field

    Experience Required:

    • 5 years of related experience in revenue analytics for Hospitals, Healthcare, Insurance or similar field
    • Experience with analyzing large data sets in Microsoft Excel and related software
    • Experience performing analyses, journal entries and related reconciliations
    • Exhibits project management skills through to successful completion

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

    • Demonstrates strong initiative and produces high quality analytical results, swiftly data mine large sets of data and appropriately summarize findings
    • Strong Accounting background with experience in preparing and / or reviewing health care financial statements
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI, software systems, data management tools or similar products
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Understanding of financial statement interrelationships
    • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and perform assigned activities in an independent manner.

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

    • Must be able to sit the majority of the workday
    • Must be able to lift up to 10 Ibs. Occasionally
    • Operates all equipment necessary to perform job duties
    • Exposed to normal office environment
    • This position requires travel, so will be exposed to weather and road conditions
