Schedule Details/Additional Information:
Seasonal position: May – August, approximately 30 hours per week.Hours may vary between: 8am – 6pm, Monday – Friday.Occasional evenings required.Job specifics: assist outpatient rehabilitation and sports medicine departments with tasks including but not limited to department cleaning, sports physicals organization and coverage, assisting therapists during sessions, completing special project work within the department, and other various tasks.Ideal candidates will be seeking a career in rehabilitation and/or sports medicine.
Major Responsibilities:
- Performs routine office assistant duties to support the department as needed, i.e. copying, faxing, opening mail and data distribution.
- Assists with the coordination of mailings and basic material preparation.
- Answers and screens telephone calls, resolves routine problems, and greets visitors appropriately.
- Organizes, tracks, files, and distributes data/documents.
- Monitors department office equipment and troubleshoots minor operating problems.
- May schedule appointments and meetings for the department or leadership team.
- May perform basic word processing and data entry duties.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- None Required.
Education Required:
- High School Graduate.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Demonstrated ability to operate basic office equipment and sort and route materials.
- Ability to effectively communicate using the internet and electronic mail system.
- Demonstrates a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Must operate all equipment necessary to perform the duties of the job.
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time in order to complete required word processing, filing, photocopying, distribution of materials and other related functions. Exposed to a normal office environment.
- Must be able to continuously use a keyboard.
- Occasionally lifts items weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Must have functional speech, vision, and hearing.
- Must be able to concentrate on minute detail with frequent interruptions.
- Must be capable of typing, writing, and data entry for prolonged periods of time.
