Major Responsibilities
- Collaborate with RC leaders to set clear, achievable goals that align with AH’s mission, vision and priorities.
- Create and maintain the tools and framework for tracking and reporting progress aligned with strategic growth and performance improvement.
- Research industry solutions that advance technology, automation, and enhance performance.
- Vet vendors for new partnerships, lead negotiations to secure favorable terms, and track contracts through to execution.
- Oversee approximately 125 vendor partnerships enterprise wide.
- Monitor vendor performance and return on investment and collaborate with vendors regarding performance.
- Designs and directs the work of the Revenue Cycle Strategy & Performance – Vendor Partnerships & External Performance areas of responsibility. Selects, coaches, and develops teams, setting objectives that align with organizational strategy to inspire and motivate the teams. Manages organizational talent through performance management, succession planning, and development. Designs and directs processes by which team and individual performance are recognized, feedback is consistently delivered, and performance is systematically improved.
- Develops and/or recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
- Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that people actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations, and laws applicable to the organization's business.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Information Systems, Legal/ Contract Negotiations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the role.
Certification / Registration / License
- N/A
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in revenue cycle, healthcare operations, healthcare technology, consulting, or a comparable performance driven environment.
- At least 5 years of experience leading enterprise level initiatives, including:
- Strategic planning and performance improvement
- Vendor selection, contract negotiation, and relationship management
- Financial and ROI based decision making
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing managers (Director level or above) or leading complex, cross functional teams with significant organizational impact.
- Proven experience influencing executive level stakeholders and driving change across multiple functions or business units.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Strong strategic thinking and goal-setting abilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership messaging skills.
- In-depth knowledge of industry technology and performance enhancement solutions.
- Proven experience in vendor vetting, negotiations, and contract management.
- Ability to monitor and analyze vendor performance and return on investment.
