Schedule Details/Additional Information:
This is a full time remote position who will work standard business hours. Quarterly weekend or evening times might be needed for project go-live support.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead metric design and documentation efforts in collaboration with leadership teams, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and effective use of data to drive objectives. Leads meetings/work sessions to support execution of projects. 
  • Independently manage multiple medium to large-scale projects and requests using standard project management tools and methodologies. 
  • Translate business requirements into specifications for the creation of well-designed and validated BI solutions that support organizational goals and utilize advanced data storytelling best practices. 
  • Use presentation tools and techniques effectively and ability to create concise summaries of key report conclusions and translate statistical analyses into understandable, practical, and actionable recommendations.  
  • Train, mentor, and educate end users on organizational measurements and reporting tools. 
  • Analyze and validate data measurements from raw source to BI solution ensuring alignment with process workflows. 
  • Identifies and manages change effectively and efficiently in a changing environment through use of standard processes and tools. Works with teammates to utilize change management processes and tools to create plans to support adoption of changes required by project or initiative. 
  • Stay abreast of healthcare environment, EHR, ERP, Cloud, SQL, and BI technology, and industry trends to build professional skills and drive innovation. 
  • Mentor junior team members and provide expertise in the analysis and development of Enterprise BI solutions. 

Minimum Job Requirements 

Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration or related field or equivalent experience in healthcare, database query/report writing (SQL, Snowflake), and BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau) 

Certification / Registration / License 

  • Epic certification(s) in relevant Cogito/reporting application (status of Certified or Accredited) depending on role support  
  • Learning plan requirements to be provided with offer includes any missing Epic Cogito certifications or Workday certifications needed to perform role, and certifications must be obtained within 5 months of starting first class

Experience

Typically requires 2-4 years of experience in Business Intelligence tools and healthcare knowledge (Clinical, Quality or ERP data experience)

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities 

  • Communicate effectively with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams at all organizational levels. 
  • Perform independent analysis and basic statistical analysis on key clinical, financial, ERP, and operational metrics.   
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize, plan, and execute with minimal oversight. 
  • Create clear and professional documentation to support education and presentation efforts.   
  • Show excellent analytical and logical thinking, creativity, self-reliance, communication skills, and the ability to work with various components of a system.   
  • Significant experience with business intelligence concepts and designs, data storytelling, visualization, and database querying. 
  • Work independently or as part of a team and manage multiple priorities while completing tasks efficiently.   
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude, a strong commitment to customer service, and a willingness to learn healthcare systems and business processes.   
  • Strong understanding of data visualization concepts and EHR/ERP workflows and reporting.   
  • Mentor and develop junior teammates 
  • Be proficient with Microsoft products.   
  • Work with minimal supervision and be a self-starter.   
  • Manage multiple small to medium-sized projects and tasks effectively.   
  • Maintain technical currency and advanced certifications in specialized areas of responsibility. 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Travel outside of workplace is required and thus incumbent is exposed to weather and road conditions.
