Ambulatory Schedule Details/Additional Information

  • Experience: Strongly prefer 2 years Ambulatory or ICU RN Experience
  • Schedule: day-to-day floating or 6-week assignment
  • Certifications Needed: BLS, ACLS
  • Shift: 8-hour shifts (start time vary based on procedure schedule); Days – NO CALL, WEEKENDS or HOLIDAYS
  • Support Sites:  Zone 2:  St. Luke's, South Shore, Washington County, Grafton, West Allis Sinai

Where You Will Work:

Aurora Health (now part of Advocate Health) WI Division Float Pool is a multi‑site resource team supporting Ambulatory care across the Wisconsin Division. Float RNs provide adaptable, high‑quality nursing care across multiple hospitals and units based on organizational need. Teammates must be flexible, skilled, and ready to deliver exceptional care in a wide variety of settings.

We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year Ambulatory or ICU RN experience required; 2 years strongly preferred

What You’ll Do:

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in delivering and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing safe, therapeutic, evidence‑based nursing care in alignment with established standards, policies, and procedures
  • Demonstrating adaptability by floating to multiple care environments within a designated Zone, integrating quickly into new departments, and collaborating with diverse teams
  • Leading efforts that support the safest patient environment and best possible patient experience
  • Coordinating care for diverse patient populations within various acute‑care, hospital outpatient departments and clinic settings
  • Maintaining the competency required to practice in all facilities within the designated zone
  • Ambulatory Float RNs support Day Surgeries, Pain Management, Surgery Center, GI Services, and possibly Wound Care

About This Location:
