Schedule Details/Additional Information:

  • Monday – Friday 0630 – 1500; 630-1700 (Will take 8hr shifts or 4/10 hr shifts)
  • Must be able to flex 1 hour before start of shift.
  • with weekday, weekend and holiday call rotation.
  • Call rotation is based on number of staff.
  • Must live within 30 minutes of hospital for call
  • Weekday call is end of shift to 0700 next day,
  • Weekend call is end of shift Friday to Monday 0700.

Where You Will Work:

South Shore services minimally invasive, laparoscopic and traditional surgery

including

  • General, Ortho, Podiatry, Urology, Endoscopic Spine and Spine Pain

  • yearly cases range around 2700

We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

  • prior OR experience and or if New Grad Surgical Tech experience

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver individualized care using the nursing process—assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.

  • Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, mobilizing resources and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.

  • Promote patient safety by implementing risk-reduction strategies and reporting safety events promptly. Verifies patient identity, allergies, and surgical site

  • Educate patients and families, adapting teaching methods to meet unique learning needs and supporting readiness for discharge.

  • Coordinate care and discharge planning through an interdisciplinary approach, ensuring continuity across the healthcare continuum.

  • Lead and delegate effectively, fostering teamwork and supporting unlicensed personnel.

  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and unit performance.

  • Maintain professional growth through ongoing education, competency completion, and participation in shared governance activities.

  • Patient Care – time outs, positioning of patient, maintains sterile and safe environment, prepares the OR with necessary supplies, checks for inventory, and documents all aspects of the procedure
