Schedule Details/Additional Information:
This position primarily involves daytime hours on weekdays, with occasional travel and evening meetings. Main duties include, but are not limited to, collaborating with the workforce development team, managing student data, and developing dashboards. The role also oversees policies for non-nursing students and acts as a subject matter expert on student issues within the medical group. Responsibilities include attending clinical affiliation meetings and organizing sessions for ambulatory nursing professional development practitioners, as well as serving as the primary contact for the My Clinical Exchange application. Additional tasks involve initiating and supervising affiliation agreements, providing backup for point of care testing, and working with educational institutions to help shape RN and LPN curricula related to ambulatory nursing. Other expectations are to enhance clinical rotation programs for students and support initiatives such as the emergent symptom list.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Supports System Practice Excellence Councils and Shared Governance Specialty Practice Groups to achieve prioritized system nursing outcomes by assisting and mentoring synthesis of research, data and evidence and use of improvement tools and methods including improvement project plans.
  • Assists teams to identify and achieve measurable goals. Uses data and evidence to determine priorities for nursing intervention; Informs and collaborates with stakeholder teams across AAH.
  • Critically analyzes results and leads and/or supports continuous process improvement.
  • Conducts synthesis of evidence for strategic projects. Promotes research and evidence-based practice through the review, interpretation, and implementation of research findings.
  • Supports process improvement and change management utilizing proven tools and processes. Leads/supports/facilitates teams to set goals, identify clear accountabilities and timelines, and develop effective communication and engagement strategies.
  • Serves as nursing practice consultant on interprofessional teams maintaining a systems perspective on proposed changes for both patient populations, nursing practice, and system outcomes.
  • Partners with clinical informatics to develop and evaluate tools and documentation processes that reduce or minimize nursing burden, support innovation, are consistent with licensure and best practices, and leverages reporting to meet the nursing data, practice, research, improvement, and analytic business need.
  • Assists groups to make practice, product and prioritization decisions based on evidence, data, and commitment to stewardship.
  • Maintains a patient-centered approach. Ensures that that safety, quality, and stewardship measures are integrated into the work.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.

Education Required:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field.

Experience Required:

  • Typically requires 7 years of experience in nursing practice or project management experience in a healthcare environment.

  • Knowledge of statistical methods, data analysis and presentation tactics to ensure communication on project goal achievement.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Generally exposed to a normal office environment.
  • Position requires travel, therefore may be exposed to weather and road conditions.
