- Mon-Fri with rotating staggered start times between 0730 and 10am. Two rotating off days per pay period.
- 8-hour shifts
- Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call shared among all nurses.
- Must Be 30 minutes within Hospital

Where you will work
- Patient Bays: 11
- Patient Population:
- Elective and urgent/emergent surgical patients
- Surgeries include orthopedics, GYN, general, bariatric, robotic, urology, plastics, dental, and ECT
- Recovery of IR and GI patients post-general anesthesia
- Culture: Collaborative, friendly, caring, and supportive
- Skill Mix: Experienced nurses with some new to PACU
- Staffing & Ratios:
- Elective surgeries scheduled 0715–1700
- Typical ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
- Schedule:
- Rotating staggered start times (0730–1000)
- Weeknights, weekends, and holidays covered by call crew
- Holiday call rotation

- GYN Teaching Hospital
- On-call nurse supported by anesthesia
We’re Looking For:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Having1-2 years of some form of inpatient nursing med/surg ideal ICU or ED. or periop experience
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver individualized care using the nursing process—assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, mobilizing resources and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Promote patient safety by implementing risk-reduction strategies and reporting safety events promptly.
- Educate patients and families, adapting teaching methods to meet unique learning needs and supporting readiness for discharge.
- Coordinate care and discharge planning through an interdisciplinary approach, ensuring continuity across the healthcare continuum.
- Lead and delegate effectively, fostering teamwork and supporting unlicensed personnel.
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and unit performance.
- Maintain professional growth through ongoing education, competency completion, and participation in shared governance activities.

64 Hours per pay period (0.8 FTE)
8 hour shifts
Mon-Fri with rotating staggered start times between 0730 and 10am.
Weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call shared among all staff.
